Step 1: Get a Car
Posted in Uncategorized on August 26th, 2007For those of you that want to get into drifting, step number 1 is to first find yourself a vehicle to drift in. Now from the dozens of emails that I receive on the subject, I’m guessing that although there’s a lot of people that want to start drifting, a lot of those people lack sufficient funding to start.
Now, when first starting off, you don’t need much. You just need a car and enough money to get out to the track for drifting practice events. Aside from the money to purchase your car, you’ll need a small amount of money to repair things that will break (and trust me, things will break) and you’ll need money for tires and event entry fees. Once you get the money for those 4 things you’re well on your way to learning how to drift.
Like I’ve mentioned before, this is America and you can pretty much purchase whatever car (within reason) that you want and finance the payment. Now some people would recommend just saving your money and then paying for a car in full. Now that’s great advice, but not too practical for the world we live in. If you want to start drifting now, getting a car loan is the easiest way to get a decent performing vehicle with a monthly payment that you can live with.
Now if you’re a kid with no credit, or even worse, bad credit, there are ways for you to finance your drifting dreams. Apply online for an Auto Loan at TheAutoFinder.com. You can be approved for a loan online in as little as one minute and then you can start browsing through their national listings of new and used vehicles.
