Soccer Goals
Posted in Uncategorized on September 26th, 2007For those of you that play soccer, proper goals are a necessity; unless you like using tree stumps and trash cans for goalposts. To give you some basics on the essential soccer goal, the goal is always placed at the center of the goal line. The goalposts are 8 yards apart and the top of the goal is 8 feet above the ground. That gives you a basic area of one hundred ninety two square feet of goal space to defend. That’s a lot of area for one guy to cover.
It’s up to you if you want to put a net behind the goal posts, but typically that’s how it’s done. Putting a net behind the goal posts will keep you from running after soccer balls when a goal is scored. Also make sure that the goal you use is painted white and is made of either wood or metal.
When looking for a quality goal to use in your soccer game, make sure to go with brands that you can trust and suppliers that have a reputation for delivering quality goods. Nothing will end your soccer game quicker than equipment that doesn’t hold up to intense play. For those of you ready to get your game on, check out Franklin Sports Soccer Goals.
